Last day…

…well today was my last day here as an Au-Pair…and somehow it has been like always…
Playing with the kids, doing some stuff and more playing.
It was nice though…have been running through the whole house with Ms. Frog on my arms and Ms. Duck behind me “The pirate ghost, the pirate ghost”. Ms. Frog has been laughing her ass off. Totally cute.
And Ms. Duck liked it too. So we had some fun.
When the girls and the mother left it was a simple goodbye. The girl are simply to small to understand that, but it’s okay.
We had a really great time and I still really like the girls, especially Ms. Frog grew into my heart. I will miss her and being stupid with her *sigh*
Was always a blast with her “A dadn dadn dadn” “Momomomom” “Dada dudi dididi dadadududidi” Awwww <3
But I really look forward to Finland and all the important people there. There might be tears tomorrow…maybe. Maybe I'll be crying when I will arrive in Helsinki and know that I am finally back to the place I belong…a place called home…
Now it just needs to work out with the family. We will hopefully meet on Thursday and make things sure…I assume..would be great…and though it's Tampere…it would be okay. Is not the best place and not as great as Helsinki…but it's okay and I could live there

Soon it’s over…

Jep…next week my Au-Pair time in Valencia is over! Time passes by so fast.
After all it was a good decision that I changed the family.
Things were much better here and the city is better, too.
The kids had much better behavior, though Ms. Duck IS annoying like hell. It’s really not funny anymore. All the time she’s asking “WHY” and NO MATTER what you say still it’s “WHY”. It sucks!
But all in all she’s a lovely little girl and somehow I really like her!
And I really gonna miss Ms. Frog. She’s sooooo adorable. You have to love her. She’s just awwwwwwwwwwwww <3
I miss her already.
And of course the parents. They are really nice and I'm happy we could solve all things kinda good way!
I'll miss the palm trees and the beach and Valencia And Goska.
But I really need to go home.

Still haven't found a family, but I'm in contact with a few.
This family from Espoo didn't want to register me at the local tax office, so it was not an option.
Next week I will go to visit one family, let's hope it will work out! They seem very nice and have a great attitude. I really like them.

Some things you simply don’t need to understand…

Gosh, what a week…full of bad luck and other stupid things…
First of all, the family that I wanted to go to couldn’t make a decision. I was waiting and waiting and waiting.
Then they’ve asked me if I wanted to join them for a boat-trip for 2 weeks. And I was like “Yes…sure I want…why not…”
Well the same evening they told me that the present Au-Pair is staying and that they would have otherwise chosen me.
So it was screwed on Wednesday…
Then on Thursday I wanted to book the flight to Finland anyway…so I found a great and cheap flight at Finnair, but what happened. Everything went fucked up. The system of Finnair said that I tried to book the same flight for times, but I did not. Result was, that the bank account of my host parents has been blocked and the have to run to their bank and make things work proper again.
I’m still totally pissed off.
This morning I found again a nice flight at Finnair and when I wanted to book it, it went expensive again.
Now I found a flight at Expedia for 257 € from SAS. So that’s my ticked home.
All is confirmed and I’m totally happy. Was a big relief this morning!!!
I still don’t have a family, but I’m in contact with 3 right now and I still wait for at least 4 replies. So keep your fingers crossed.
I kinda hope it works out and I can start with this one family from Espoo, they seem really nice and though I would need to take my piercings out, they seem to have a kind of humor. So let’s see and keep your fingers crossed!

There’s a family who really want me…but they live at worlds ass and that’s nothing I could stay for long. I need city live etc.

Things go on…

well well…still kinda searching for a new family.
One is interested in me and said, that I would be a strong candidate. Hopefully it works out well.
They seem very nice and well organized and that’s what I really like about them! They might (hopefully) make a decision during the weekend that we can all go on with planing etc.
And I so hope, it will work out well and the family want me as their new Au-Pair in the end! Keep your fingers crossed!

This family I mentioned in my last post is also very interested, but I’m not sure if I wanna go there or if we really could get along very well.
They said they are conservative and I would need to take off my piercings. Sure I offered it, but I’m afraid that they wouldn’t like the clothes I wear and the things I do. I like to go to party and I like to visit a lot of gig and it might happen that I won’t be home for a whole weekend ’cause I’m touring somewhere…
Next thing is, that the girl (3 years) seems to be an extreme again like this Dramaqueen I had in my first (Danish) family. So the mother asked me if I would be scared if the girl would be screaming at me and if I’m able to calm her and chance her mind. And to be honest…I’m absolutely not in the mood for such a spoiled little girl. Which little girl is screaming at you that you might get scared?
So I will wait the responds from this family I want to go to, hope it’s positive and then write this other family again…

Otherwise this week as been killing. Everyday about 10 hours work and I’m so fed up with it!
It sucks not hearing even an thank you, getting the time off or some extra payment! Said but true.
As much as I like the family and as much as I like to be here, I’m happy when I’m back in Finland.
I hope they make a decision this weekend, too and that I could leave already by the beginning of August…
That’s what they said by the beginning of the week, but it changes all the time…argh!
And even IF I would stay until the end of the first September-week, I guess I wouldn’t get the August payed as they actually just pay me because they would need me in September so much, but not in August. But if I would leave already by the beginning of September, I wouldn’t get August payed…I suppose…
Freaks.
So keep all your fingers crossed! It would be awesome to be back in Finland already in 3 weeks.

Last night I finally got a reply from that family I was waiting for all week!
Everything is still smooth and no decisions are made yet! I’m happy!
She was simply asking some more questions about how I imagine my work in the family etc.
So now I need to wait again and hope everything will work out positive!

And soon back in Finland?!?

Well, after a bit research and thinking, I came to the decision that I already would like to leave back to Finland in October.
First of all I miss Finland and my friends and second I still need some “work credit” time for getting any kind of benefit from the Finnish state in case I would like to study some day. With my present family is everything still totally okay and they really understand it, as it’s important for my future. And the end date has anyway been the end of September. So it’s totally okay.
I search right now for new families and there a some who seem to be interested. We wrote a few mails and they sound very nice.
They want me to start in August, but the earliest date is October 1st I could start, as the family here really needs me!
So yeah let’s see and keep your fingers crossed that everything works out the way I want it!
Would be great to be back in Finland sooner then planed.

And again…

I haven’t been writing anything in here for a while. Well, the weeks fly past so fast, it’s amazing!
But still there isn’t so much to tell. Everything is fine with the family and the kids.
Ms. Frog might start to crawl really soon. It’s so cute how she is standing on the floor and is luffing seesaw (front and back). I’m very curious when she will start real crawling Otherwise she is hopefully getting her teeth soon, she’s crying a lot right now and well, it’s not good for her that she’s in pain.
Ms. Duck is as always very lively and cute, but still so annoying at time…(that’s a reason why I don’t wanna have own kids…). We just moved her bedtime for half an hour, as she used to wake up so early in the morning and was so tired in the evenings that she wasn’t standable anymore. Now it’s mostly working out and she sleeps till 8 am
From Monday on my “host-dad” will have 2 free afternoons a week. So he will be home about 15:30 at the latest – so I’m hopefully earlier free, too!
Has been tough weeks lately. The host-dad started Frenchlessons every morning so my worktime starts at 8 now and if he’s not able to leave early, I worked often until 20:30. So VERY long days….but let’s hope it’s getting better now.

Today I met another Au-Pair from Sweden. She stays here only for the summer, but she’s nice. I guess next week the girl from Finland arrives. She seems to be very nice too and I look forward to meet her. Unfortunately she only stays until the end of July. So I’m curious and waiting for the Au-Pair which will arrive in September
But with the Swedish girl I spent the afternoon at the beach, later we walked over some market, ate somethinga and after that we went to the Valencia streetcircuit where the Formula 1 race takes place next week. And same way we have been at the habour. It was really nice walk. Tomorrow we will do some more sightseeing!

Children-Birthday-Party…

Gosh, what a weekend! Actually I should be recovered, but I’m not at all. Feel done like on Fridays already and need another weekend!!! And Sleep.
(Okay, last night I couldn’t fall asleep until after 3…)
But well, Saturday was Ms. Duck 3rd birthday and here were like 14 (???) Children, inclusive parents. So waaah! Hell, I know why I don’t wanna have own kids! It was funny though. Had a pretty nice time actually, but I was totally done by the end of the day.
And she liked it too, I guess. She liked her presents and seemed to enjoy it that it was her day She like my present and said something like “Now you have a baby and me too *smilie*” Totally cute.
The parents where happy too, especiall when the event was over and the kids were a sleep, though Ms. Frog is giving them sleepless nights right now (again).

Yesterday I just stayes home and relaxed and I went to sleep way to late!!! Fuck it!!!
But yes, I will manage somehow…let’s see…

Last week we finally could go to the pool and it’s totally refreshing to jump in The weather isn’t the best right now. No ider why it’s still raining – sucks a bit, but what can we do about? I wait for the summer…

Well, here I am again. Still in Valencia and I still really like it!
It was maybe one of the best choices to leave Madrid and this other family behind. Here it’s so much better and I enjoy my time so much!!!!
The girls are simply just lovely and the parents are too! I really like them. Mr. Duck seem to like me a lot ’cause she’s always asking me to come and read a book, and go with her into her tent or house (at the playground )
So, yes…I guess we both have a good relationship. Though she has her moments when she only wants Mammy to do thing with and for her, but that normal I guess.
Next Saturday is her 3rd birthday and I think I’ll get her a Piglet (the one from Winnie the Pooh), as she likes mine so much and always says “It’s my baby”. Actually I would give it to her, but it has a important meaning to me…(my best friend in Finland has Tigger and I Piglet…so it’s kinda friendship-thing…and well…our favorite musicians got the nicknames Tigger and Piglet…so :p ). So I might go tomorrow and buy one for her
And the little Ms Frog is still adorable. I really love her <3
Today she felt again asleep on my arm, just after joking around. The mother and older sister (Ms Duck) were gone to see some friends, who live just next to us), so I played with her and after that she got so tired…poor thing

Otherwise everything is great here!
This week we started to put water into the pool – it’s almost full…so tomorrow I can jump in – YES!
But the weather is kinda weird…I mean…of course it has been nice the past weeks, but rain by the end of may…WEIRD!!!
Hopefully it’s over soon – not nice…or better “muy mál”!

My past weekends I spent at the beach and I loved it! It was soooo nice And I finally met Goska, who was an Au-Pair in this family when Ms. Duck was a baby.
She’s also really really nice and I look forward to meet her again This weekend I might stay home…I guess. My back is killing me right now and I really need to SLEEP!!!

So let’s hope the weather is better tomorrow – wanna go to the beach again

btw. I haven’t told you that here maybe live the most disgusting beetles I’ve ever seen. They are sooooooo wääääääääääh!!!!!
